About the role
Geeks Technologies is hiring two Senior Backend Engineers to design and operate the services that power its multi‑tenant HR and talent platform. The role combines hands‑on TypeScript and Node.js delivery with system design, production ownership, and mentoring. The successful candidates will work in a cross‑functional product squad and will be accountable for secure, reliable services from discovery through live operation.
What you will do
- Design, build, test, and operate secure backend services and REST APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
- Own technical delivery from solution design through deployment, monitoring, incident response, and post‑release improvement.
- Model and optimize data in MongoDB and PostgreSQL, including indexing, migrations, retention, and query‑performance reviews.
- Build reliable asynchronous workflows with queues and event‑driven patterns while preserving idempotency and auditability.
- Partner with Product, Frontend, QA, DevOps, Security, and Data colleagues to turn business requirements into maintainable services.
- Raise engineering quality through practical code reviews, automated tests, observability, documentation, and threat‑aware design.
- Investigate production issues, lead root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive fixes against agreed service‑level objectives.
