About the role
The Backend Developer at ADS is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high‑performance server‑side components that support the company’s B2B SaaS platform. This role focuses on developing RESTful APIs and microservices, optimizing database interactions, and ensuring code quality through automated testing and CI/CD pipelines. The developer collaborates closely with front‑end teams and product owners to deliver feature releases on schedule, while also monitoring system performance and troubleshooting production incidents. Continuous architectural improvement and adherence to best practices in cloud deployment are key deliverables. The position reports directly to the Lead Backend Engineer within the Engineering Leadership Team and operates in a hybrid work model based in Cairo, Egypt.
What you will do
- Design and architect scalable, secure server‑side components for the B2B SaaS platform.
- Implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js, Python, or Java.
- Optimize relational and NoSQL database interactions for performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain automated testing suites and CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, high‑quality releases.
- Collaborate with front‑end engineers and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Monitor application performance, analyze metrics, and proactively address bottlenecks.
