About the role
A Backend Developer will design, implement, and maintain server-side logic, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability of web applications. The role focuses on API development, database management, and integration with front‑end services.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using modern frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Django, Spring Boot).
- Design and optimize relational and NoSQL database schemas for performance and data integrity.
- Collaborate with front‑end developers and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Write unit, integration, and performance tests; conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
- Monitor application health, troubleshoot production issues, and implement continuous improvement practices.
- Document architecture decisions, API specifications, and deployment procedures.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (JavaScript/Node.js, Python, Java, or Go).
- Strong understanding of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless concepts.
